Richard Robert
Coordinator/Sales TIPS Program (The Interlocal Purchasing System)
Richard was raised in a family construction business. Along with his three brothers they worked with Dad who was a 3rd generation master carpenter. Some of Richard’s early projects as a 12 year old were building yearly (before winter) tree houses or ground buildings, “Forts” as he and his friends called them. Complete with wood stoves (yes wood stoves, unbelievable they didn’t burn the forest down!). It was nice to come in after a day in the New England snow. Toasty. And having such a great hang out.
He went on to serve in the US Army and upon completion of his tour of duty married Linda – The loveliest women he ever met or seen! They now live in D/FW have three children Dr. Jeanette, Jacob, and Jonathan, wonderful daughter-in-loves along with 8 awesome grandchildren – all in D/FW area!
After marriage he started his own construction company, finished an Architectural degree at New England Institute of Technology. He Moved his family to Oregon Completing a second degree in Cross Cultural Communications at Corban University. He continued as a contractor in the Northwest for 20 years working in Oregon and Washington also in California and New Mexico. He later moved to Ft McCoy US Army Base four seasons training and deployment base in Sparta, WI. Richard served as Building and Structures Manager for the Army base including the base airport.
When his mission was complete at Ft. McCoy he and Linda moved to Texas where all their beautiful 8 grand kids live, and Nana and Papa pour love all over them. Richard continued contracting in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and over the years has been involved with building subdivisions, custom homes/remodels, commercial builds, and Tenant Improvement. In addition to being a business owner, he served as Project Manager, liaison to architects/engineers, and lead design/build teams.
He has been a member of The Association of General Contractors in several states, served as Chaplain at Texco (Texas construction industry association) to sub-contractors. Richard held General Contractor Licenses in Washington, Oregon, California, and New Mexico. Richard and Linda serve at their church Gateway in Southlake, TX as teachers, prayer team, and pastors on call in the Care department.
It’s a blessing and an honor for Richard to become a part of his friend’s vision and passion – to build a 5th generation roofing business with integrity and respect that serves the needs of people with honesty at a fair value – Consumers and business owners alike. Restoration Roofing’s success is evidence that is happening. Congratulations – Jonathan Gaspard! It’s an honor to be a part of what you are building.
